In an exclusive interview with Hollywood influencer Bobbi Althoff, Shaquille O’Neal was the source of many comedic moments that went viral online. In one of the highlight moments of the event, O’Neal explained how he came to be known as the “love doctor” as he flicked his tongue for the camera.
“I’m not a medical doctor,” said O’Neal. “But I do have a minor in psychology and I also coulda been a professor but I don’t want to be.” He also detailed that while people often come to him with problems, he’s the one who does all the talking.
“They don’t pay me because if they pay me it would be illegal, so I guess it’s free.”

You can make your own assumptions on what kind of counsel Shaq is offering as a “love doctor” but one can imagine it’s just one of the many hats he wears as an NBA legend, celebrity, and multi-millionaire businessman.
While it’s not shocking to see Shaq acting like his usual charismatic and entertaining self, some were taken by surprise to see him sit down for a chat with Althoff, who seemingly appeared out of nowhere in the social media sphere.
But after her breakout interview with Drake earlier this year, the former TikTok star-turned-podcaster started turning heads on a global level.

In May of 2012, Shaq officially received his doctorate in education from Barry University, hence why the former Lakers legend introduced himself as Dr. Shaquille O’Neal.
At the time, Shaq had just finished a long and successful NBA career but he was far from done in the public eye. As the newest co-host for ‘Inside the NBA,’ it was just the beginning of a historic tenure in television that is still going to this day.
So while the “Big Diesel” might be remembered by most for his accomplishments on the court (4x champion, 15x All-Star, and 1x MVP), it’s his efforts in business and education that have lived on for years after his career ended.

To say the fans are split on this would be an understatement but then again, Shaq has never really cared much for the opinion of fans anyway. Just like always, he’s going to things on his terms regardless of how others may feel.
As for Shaq’s title as “love doctor,” only a very select few can speak to what that actually means but his other qualifications as an NBA champion and successful businessman are more than enough to tell us what kind of guy Shaquille O’Neal really is.
