The two superstars also played a game where they each got to pick a team of all shooters from today’s league for a five-on-five matchup. Thompson’s team featured some of the most elite shooters in the NBA.

George seemingly always gets stuck with a worse team during these games on his podcast. The same happened when he and Draymond Green picked the all-time NBA high IQ lineups. Well, George cannot be blamed as he’s always asked to pick second and has to put in some extra thought because the usual best players are unavailable.
Klay Thompson Is Still Contending To Win Ring No. 5 With The Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors won the 2022 NBA Championship, but they failed to defend it in the 2022-23 season. They were eliminated in the Western Conference Semifinals by the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.
It was only the second playoff run for Klay Thompson after missing two full seasons due to a torn ACL and a torn Achilles. But Klay thinks he’s still lucky to be contending to win the fifth NBA ring of his career, even after going through so many injuries.
“I’m lucky to still be going for five,” Klay said. “I have no complaints, I’d do it all over again, injuries and all. I’m still together with the guys I came in with, Steph and Dray. Andre and Steve, it’s special.”
It’s great to see such amazing resolve from him despite being sidelined for more than two years due to back-to-back potential career-ending injuries.
The 33-year-old averaged 21.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in the 2022-23 season. These are still great numbers, and they could potentially help the Dubs in winning another ring sooner rather than later.
