  • Stephen Curry hosted another edition of his annual camp recently
  • Curry was casually playing some 1-on-1 basketball against some campers and a kid managed to score against him
  • The onlookers went wild as they celebrated with the kid

Stephen Curry is one of the greatest players in NBA history, and he never shies away from sharing his wisdom with the coming generation. The two-time MVP just finished hosting the eighth edition of the annual Curry Camp, during which he was seen giving some great advice to his campers.

Curry spoke about the importance of communication while on the court and also told them that begging for the ball was the weakest move in basketball. While the nine-team All-Star was dead serious there, he also relaxed a bit by playing some 1-on-1s. One kid managed to actually make a layup against him, and the onlookers went crazy.

It is something that the kid won’t forget for the rest of his life. Curry wasn’t exactly playing serious defense, but it is still quite a feat for someone so young to manage to score against him. The Golden State Warriors superstar also took it well and was all smiles as the celebrations went on.

Chet Holmgren Once Crossed Up Stephen Curry At His Camp

This is not the first instance of one of Curry’s campers getting the better of him. Back in 2019, during a game on the first day of the camp, Chet Holmgren crossed up Curry and scored. The clip went viral just like this one, and Chet’s fame skyrocketed after that, something he recently spoke about.

Curry was excited to see Holmgren enter the NBA as the second pick of the 2022 Draft after what had happened three years ago. The chances of the 35-year-old Curry being around till this young camper makes it to the NBA seem bleak, though. Steph is still going strong, with averages of 29.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.4 blocks last season, but playing for that long would be a bit much even for him.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
