Basketball Analyst Calls Out NBA That Continuously Sh*ts On The Current Product And Says Everything Was Better 20 Years Ago

There has been a perception held by some NBA fans that the game was better in the past. Despite the league bringing in record-breaking money every year, several fans claim that this league was way better 20 years ago. But NBA analyst Amin Elhassan seems to have had enough of this.

In an episode of The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Elhassan went off on the NBA and some fans:

“We’re the only sport that continuously sh*ts on the current product and says everything was better 20 years ago.”

“Nobody is saying in football… No one says in Baseball.”

“We all kind of accept the modern version is the best version, in the same way that Usain Bolt like Carl Lewis would have just smoked him.”

“Our sport for whatever reason, lives constantly in the past. Our players constantly fight ghosts. Like, LeBron’s not playing Steph Curry, he’s playing Michael Jordan.”

Elhassan says this can only change when people at the highest levels of the NBA bring in changes that can help advance the modern game.  


Modern NBA Stars Have Started To Fire Back At The Old School Players 

For a long time, modern NBA stars have come under fire for being too soft. Several legends like Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and others have repeatedly mocked this generation’s stars. They have said that this game is too weak and these stars would have had no chance in their time.

But over the last few years, several retired stars and players seem to have had enough of this, and they have started to fire back at the legends. The most vocal one would be Gilbert Arenas, who has come in defense of this generation’s stars. 

Arenas has called today’s stars extremely skillful and fast. He has said the old-school players never had these kinds of skills. And he also blasted their defensive tactics, saying that they only knew how to hit someone. 

Another star who has been vocal is Kevin Durant. The Suns star is known to be very active on social media, and a few years ago, he started beefing with Chuck. He went at them on several platforms and blasted Chuck for trying to tarnish his legacy.
