Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan’s relationship has been a talking point for the better part of a year now. With her being the ex-wife of Scottie Pippen and Marcus being the son of Michael Jordan, this was always bound to happen.
Although things were seemingly going well between the two, Michael Jordan recently openly disapproved of their relationship when asked about it. And Larsa has now opened up on the GOAT’s comments, suggesting that she was traumatized by the fallout of those comments.
“You thought it was funny,” Larsa Pippen said to Marcus Jordan on their Separation Anxiety podcast. “I didn’t think it was funny. There is nothing funny about it. I kinda felt like it went everywhere and I was kind of embarrassed.
“It literally went everywhere. I think people started to think that online they were saying that I was lying — that I lied and said that our parents are fine because I was doing interviews and saying both of our families are fine.
“When I would say that, I felt like I didn’t embellish that… and I would say both of our parents want us to be happy… I do understand that it’s not awkward for us to be together because it’s us.
“But it probably is awkward for my ex [Scottie Pippen] and your dad because they have their own relationship or whatever it was. I wasn’t a part of that, you weren’t a part of that. So I feel like for them it probably is weird, it probably is weird for your dad. I can’t be mad. I understand… Oh my god, I was traumatized. I was like what are we going to do, people think I lied.”
Larsa Pippen had said in the past that their families were okay with their relationship, which is probably why she was so distraught about the whole thing. Michael Jordan essentially undercut her words, which seems to have been the big problem. It seems she and Marcus are still fine, although MJ’s comments have to have created some fiction.
Marcus Jordan Contradicted His Father Michael And Said His Family Loves Larsa Pippen
Marcus Jordan also had some stuff to say about the whole situation recently. He denied that his family has issues with their relationship, although he did admit that it did take some time.
“Everybody had an opinion at first. I think there was some shock and interest early on, but I think that was the whole point of us trying to spend some family time together during the holidays. At least for me, if we’re gonna be in the media, you know, I kind of need to introduce you to my mom and my mom’s side and my dad’s side.
“And so, I think that went well and so far, so good. Yeah, oh yeah,” he exclaimed with a smile when asked if the relationship had MJ’s stamp of approval.
The already frayed relationship between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen has meant that this who situation has been in the eye of the storm all along. What everybody thinks behind the scenes isn’t information the public has access to, but there seem to be some issues that Larsa and Marcus need to sort out with their families.
