At 6’9″ and 250 lbs, LeBron James is quite the behemoth, but one NBA fan couldn’t believe how normal-sized the Los Angeles Lakers legend looked when he showed up at the Peach Jam 2023.
While drawing up plays for his son, Bryce’s EYBL team, James was surrounded by a young bunch who looked bigger and more muscled than he did at 38, prompting the fan to ask what the kids eat.
“I don’t know what they are feeding these kids, but Bron isn’t supposed to look normal size standing next to them.”

The observation does make sense, as the kids look larger and taller, pretty much as tall as James in the clip where he’s seen drawing up plays.
It could be a generational thing, in a way. The sport by nature has become more obsessed with dialed-in nutrition and training, making NBA’s off-the-court regimen a science. Plus, these are kids whose growth spurt perhaps hasn’t been reached fully, and this makes for good news when it comes to taller players taking the floor.
To lend perspective, Bryce is listed as 6’4″ at 15, while Bronny is just 6-2 at 18 years old. And that speaks volumes about the growth spurt of the present generation.
Bryce James Reported As A Priority For NBA Scouts At The Peach Jam
Bryce made his Peach Jam debut on Monday and had NBA scouts squarely focusing on him throughout the event. The tournament features the country’s top AAU players and the youngest of the James’ added 12 points on 4-for-9 shooting from the field in Strive For Greatness’s 78–69 win over Expressions in the under 16 division.
According to Yahoo! Sports, scouts from the Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, and the Atlanta Hawks were in attendance, making Bryce their priority on Day 1 of the tournament.
Bryce is a shooting guard out of Campbell Hall School in California and is entering his junior year. His brother, Bronny, recently committed to USC.
