LeBron James’ eldest son Bronny James recently graduated from high school and got one step closer to entering the NBA and ultimately getting a chance to play with his father in the league.

Speaking of the father-son duo, Bronny wished his dad a Happy Father’s Day by posting an Instagram story. The 18-year-old declared LeBron James as the greatest basketball player of all time in his story.

“Happy Father’s Day to the GOAT. Love you dad,” Bronny captioned the story.

Bronny’s story featured a picture of himself and LeBron practicing, with the former maintaining his form after shooting the basketball while the latter was admiring it.

It’s great to see mutual love between them, and NBA fans crave such heartwarming content from time to time.

LeBron James Is Fine If Bronny James Doesn’t Want To Play With Him In The NBA

Bronny James has committed to UNC to begin his college basketball career. He will be eligible to be drafted in the NBA as part of the 2024 draft class. The 18-year-old is already viewed as a ‘clear’ NBA player by many.

It is certainly a blessing for LeBron James, who has mentioned several times that he wants to share the court with his son before hanging his sneakers for good. But what if Bronny doesn’t want that? Well, LeBron revealed that he’d be fine with Bronny’s decision.

“I’ve done what I’ve had to do in this league, and my son is going to take his journey,” James said. “And whatever his journey, however his journey lays out, he’s going to do what’s best for him. And as his dad, and his mom, Savannah, and his brother and sister, we will support him in whatever he decides to do. So, just because that’s my aspiration or my goal, doesn’t mean it’s his. And I’m absolutely OK with that.”

At the end of the day, James still mentioned it’s his goal to play together with his son in the NBA. But if Bronny decides not to engage in that goal, he won’t pressurize him.

As for LeBron, he is expected to make the decision about his future in the NBA after getting swept in the Western Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 playoffs. James averaged 28.9 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 6.8 APG during the regular season.
