Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry are without a doubt, two of the best players of all time. Both Durant and Curry are elite scorers who can seemingly get a bucket from anywhere on the court. The two formed an almost unstoppable duo in 2016 and won two NBA championships together.

Former Warriors player Shaun Livingston spoke about playing with Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. He described it as ‘basketball nirvana’, noting that KD, Curry, and Klay Thompson, were very compatible together, not needing the ball in their hands to make an impact. He also praised KD for wanting to always play the right way.

“It was like basketball nirvana. It was a seamless fit, all the pieces to the puzzle fit. You got a point guard who could play off the ball and he wasn’t selfish… Klay, who was a sniper, didn’t need it”.

KD man, people don’t know how much this guy is a student of the game. Just his work ethic… Watch after practice how he goes through his routine…A tactician, he’s just surgical with his movements, with the footwork, with the balance, with the form. It means something to him, you can tell. That man lives to hoop”.

(till 2:19 mark)

“Watching him put the work in, this man is really a 7-foot guard out here… He shouldn’t be able to do this, to move this way. It fit because he was brought in from a standpoint of wanting to win and wanting to play good basketball. That’s always what he talked about…”

Livingston clearly enjoyed his time playing with KD and Curry, as it was perhaps the easiest thing to do. Both players were so incredible on the offensive end that other members of their team were entrusted with playing good defense and making sure they do their bit. The KD-Curry Warriors were perhaps one of the greatest teams of all time.

Kevin Durant And Stephen Curry Were A Lethal Combination For The NBA

While many fans in the NBA may not have been happy about the pairing of KD and Curry, there is no denying just how dangerous the duo was. The 2017 and 2018 Golden State Warriors dismantled every team in front of them, without ever looking like they were in trouble.

Durant would end up leaving the Warriors due to a falling out with Warriors veteran Draymond Green. While the two players have made amends now, KD has admitted that their falling out was a big factor in his choosing to leave Golden State.

Livingston spoke about another falling out in Golden State recently, as he said that the beef between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole cost the Warriors a potential second consecutive NBA championship. The Warriors will be looking to rebound next year and prove they can continue their dynastic run over the last decade.
