Heat star Jimmy Butler has been amazing in these playoffs. All throughout the postseason, Butler has risen to the occasion by scoring points in crucial moments and being the rock that keeps his team steady. Coming into the playoffs, they were seen as major underdogs to win the East, and that never changed despite winning in the first three rounds.
So, even if the Heat lose this series against the Nuggets, they have every reason to consider this run a success given how it started and how far they exceeded expectations. For Jimmy Butler, however, the season is nothing less than a failure if they don’t complete the job and bring home the title.
“Not at all. At the beginning of the year, we talked about winning a championship. That’s always the goal,” said Butler. “It’s about winning, it’s not about individual anything. It’s about holding that trophy collectively as a unit to be the best team. And that’s where we’re at.”
Reporter: “You guys have bigger goals, but is there an appreciation for what you’ve done so far.”

it’s a miracle the Heat made it this far at all, and yet nobody on that team looks satisfied to be here. Miami’s emphasis on winning makes every player set the highest standard for themselves and anything short of s Larry O’Brien trophy is falling short in their eyes.
As the head of the organization, it’s no surprise to see Jimmy Butler carrying this mentality into Game 5 on Monday. But if the Heat want to pull out a win and keep their season live, they will need the passion and energy to translate on the court, where Butler has seemingly finally found a rhythm (25 points on 52% shooting in Game 4).
Can Heat Come Back To Win The Series?
Down 3-1 headed back to Denver, the Heat are at a major disadvantage in the Finals. With the margin for error so slim, Miami is going to have to play nearly perfectly from here on out if they want a chance at making a comeback.
For Butler’s part, he’s going to do his best to lead by example and leave everything he has on the court with the season on the line. After averaging 22.9 points per game this season, Butler proved he has what it takes to carry an offense and that’s what he’ll have to do for the rest of this series for Miami to pull out some wins.
