The Miami Heat finally found their match in the Denver Nuggets, who beat them in Game 1 of the 2023 NBA Finals. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray once again showed that they’re one of the best duos in the NBA right now.
While many people around the league think this series won’t last long and the Nuggets will win, Jimmy Butler remains confident, claiming that the Heat will get four wins.
“Down 0-1. We know we are going to get to four. We are in there laughing, in there smiling,” Butler said.

The Heat have had an impressive run during this postseason, going all the way to the Finals as the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, taking out the No. 1 seed in the first round, then the No. 5 seed in the second round and ultimately beating the No. 2 seed Boston Celtics in the Western Conference Finals.
Jimmy is sharing photos of his activities during rest days, showing that he’s having fun with friends and playing some cards. The veteran swingman knows his team can compete against anybody, but the Nuggets already proved they aren’t the Bucks, Knicks, or Celtics.
Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray showed up and showed out in Game 1, and that’s what Erik Spoelstra needs to stop. Butler also didn’t play great and only recorded 13 points for his side.
Jimmy Butler Is Using The Same Tactics He Used Against The Celtics
In the prior series, Butler boasted the same confidence, claiming that the team was smiling even after the Celtics tied the series 3-3. He guaranteed a Game 7 win for his Heat and kept his word.
The Heat are a dangerous team regardless of how the first game went, and Butler knows that. The Nuggets will try to extend their lead to 2-0 this Sunday, but Miami will try to ruin their plans and go back home with a 1-1 series.
