Nikola Jokic is arguably the best player on the planet right now. He has carried the Denver Nuggets to their first-ever NBA Finals appearance in franchise history.

There’s a very real chance that the Nuggets may end up winning the title as well. But according to Gilbert Arenas, no one would bat an eye even if Jokic wins the NBA Championship this season.

“You know Jokic can win this championship,” Arenas said. “No one’s going to care. Let’s just be honest. I’m sorry. He’s not gonna go from where he is right now to this super megastar because he’s not doing anything kids want to see.”

Nikola Jokic doesn’t have a very fancy playing style. But does that take away from what he’s achieving in the league? Most certainly not.

Jokic is someone who’s sheerly focused on playing the game of basketball and keeps himself away from these narratives running about him in the media.

Nikola Jokic Is Changing The Game Of Basketball

Every generation has a superstar that changes the game of basketball like never before. The likes of Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Stephen Curry have all impacted the sport.

According to the Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson, Jokic is doing something similar.

“The Joker is changing the game of basketball right before our very eyes much like Michael, Larry, LeBron, Steph, Kobe, Kareem, and Shaq.”

Jokic has revolutionized the way a modern-day NBA center is supposed to play. The Joker is capable of doing everything on the court. He can score points, grab rebounds, and dish out assists in an efficient way.

Moreover, considering the fact that Jokic was never expected to even become a regular starter in the NBA, it just tells you how far he has come.

If Jokic can win an NBA Championship in the coming weeks, he will truly cement his legacy in the league and will be remembered for ages.
