Devin Booker is regarded as one of the top players on the offensive end of the floor. But one big flaw in Booker’s game is his limited options when he gets double-teamed.

Joakim Noah exposed that flaw in Booker’s game during a pickup matchup back in the summer of 2021. Booker got angry at Noah for doubling him during a practice game. Noah recently sat down for an amazing conversation with Kevin Garnett on ‘KG Certified’ podcast, where he shared his opinion on the younger generation, following Garentt mentioning that small altercation with Booker.

Kevin Garnett: “The funny clip I love on the internet is when y’all in the summer playing and y’all double Booker and he was like, ‘Man, I’m trying to work on my game. Like ain’t no double-teaming in summer.’ And you’re like, ‘Yes, it is,’ and you just kept moving like some OG s**t. What’s your assessment of the young generation right now, man?”

Joakim Noah: “I think that the game is just is different. The kids are just way more polished, man. Everybody’s better, and the difference one through eight, yeah, skill-wise. But one through eight, you’re the first seed against the eighth seed, these games are close. Like the talent, you’re the 15th guy on the roster, and the difference is not that big. These guys are getting better. I think the talent is better, and it’s just different. If you can’t shoot the ball, you’re not playing no more. I think so [the three ball is difference in generations.]”

Noah and Garnett both shared their views on the importance of players being able to shoot three-pointers in this generation.

After all, the audience loves to see that style of play. Be it a guard, forward, or center, every player is expected to be at least an average three-point shooter.

Devin Booker Understood Why Joakim Noah Sent Double Teams At Him

During the 2021 NBA Finals, Devin Booker was clamped by the Milwaukee Bucks throughout the series. The Bucks used double teams to counter the offensive threat that Booker is.

Considering Booker lost a chance at winning the NBA Championship because of that flaw, he understood why Noah wanted to teach him to outplay double teams during games.

Either way, Booker is still one of the best offensive players in the NBA. But does he has what it takes to win the NBA title? So far, he is yet to prove that during the playoffs.
