Devin Booker has certainly come a long way from when he first started playing for the Phoenix Suns. During the initial years of his career, his game was pretty one-dimensional. While Booker could score at will, apart from that, he didn’t stand out much.

But that has changed in the last two or so seasons. He has taken the leap and is even being touted as one of the best shooting guards in the league by many. Since the arrival of Chris Paul, Booker’s game has changed a lot, and he has truly added more weapons to his arsenal.

In the last two seasons, the Suns have dominated the league in the regular season. They even made it to the 2021 NBA Finals but couldn’t overpower Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Speaking of the 2021 NBA Finals, D-Book got his pocket picked by Jrue Holiday in Game 5 by double-teaming him. Following the incident, a 2019 video of Booker resurfaced on the internet where Booker berated Joakim Noah for double-teaming him in open gym.

Well, fans were quick to point out that had Booker practiced that aspect of his game, maybe he could have led the Suns to the 2021 NBA Championship. Fast forward to 2022, Booker has seemingly changed his stance on the importance of getting double-teamed.

It happened after Noah commented on a post about Booker dominating players in a pickup game. While Noah was simply praising the Suns’ superstar, Booker asked him to send the double-team towards him.

After getting knocked out of the playoffs in the second round at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks in 2022, Booker and co. will be hoping to improve as much as they can ahead of the 2022-23 season. Can Booker finally lead the Suns to an NBA Championship? We will find out in the future.
