Miles Bridges has been out of the NBA for a while now, missing the entire 2022-23 season after enduring a legal battle. The forward was an entertaining player in the league, but his legal issues made most people forget about him.

Bridges isn’t giving up on his NBA dream, though, and he appears to be getting ready for a return with the Charlotte Hornets. The 25-year-old recently shared a Snapchat screenshot of himself talking with Michael Jordan, the Hornets owner.

“Chopping it up with my guy,” Bridges wrote on the snap.

It’s unclear if this was a business call or if Bridges was simply talking with his former boss. The Hornets are coming from a terrible season where they posted one of the worst records in the league.

LaMelo Ball is yet to lead this team to the playoffs, and bringing Bridges back can be beneficial for the point guard and the rest of the team. He created an entertaining duo with Bridges, but it’s not good enough to lead this team past the play-in tournament.

Still, with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Hornets can land a solid prospect to pair up with Melo, but time will tell what decision they make on this situation.

The NBA Suspended Miles Bridges For 30 Games

Meanwhile, Bridges is set to complete a 10-game suspension when he signs a new NBA contract. Whether it is the Hornets or any other team, Bridges won’t be available for the first 10 games of next season after the league gave him a 30-game suspension and counted the entire 2022-23 campaign as 20 games for Bridges.

It will be interesting to see if the Hornets run it back with Bridges, and it seems like he’s close to making a return to Charlotte. MJ might be living his last days as the team owner, but he’s still the man in charge and can give Bridges a new deal.
