The Boston Celtics are currently down 0-2 to the Miami Heat, and there’s no doubt that this was an unexpected outcome by the majority of fans and analysts going into the series.

Part of the reason for the Celtics’ struggles has been the performances of star Jaylen Brown. He is only averaging 19.0 PPG thus far in this series while shooting 38.6% from the field and 15.4% from the 3PT range. In fact, one NBA fan on Reddit has pointed out that Heat forward Caleb Martin has outscored him thus far in the series.

This is definitely something that is concerning for the Celtics, as one wouldn’t expect a role player to get outscored by a star. However, there is still some time left in the series, and it is entirely possible that Brown will bounce back and play at an All-NBA level in the remaining games, which includes prolific scoring.

Thus far in the playoffs, Jaylen Brown has averaged 23.9 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 3.5 APG for the Boston Celtics. He did very well in the series against the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers, and hopefully, we see him shine for the rest of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Some Believe Jaylen Brown Has Closed The Ability Gap Between Himself And Jayson Tatum

Jaylen Brown has shown that he is one of the best players in the world this season, and many have been left impressed with what his play and overall production. In fact, previously, analyst Doris Burke claimed that he has closed the gap between himself and Jayson Tatum in terms of their ability.

“I think Jaylen Brown has closed the gap a little bit in terms of the difference level between he and Jayson Tatum,” the veteran analyst said. “Jaylen Brown still has to take a step in terms of his ability to not turn the ball over and Joe Mazzulla talked about it.”

There’s no doubt that Jaylen Brown has continuously gotten better during his time in the NBA. While he is not as good as Jayson Tatum right now, he is definitely a player that can eventually become a superstar in the league.
