The NBA has made a decision on Miles Bridges’ domestic violence incident, ultimately suspending him for 30 games.

The former Charlotte Hornets player didn’t play a single game this season, which was used by the league as a 20-game suspension. Now, he will have to serve only a third part of that punishment.

“The NBA announced today that Miles Bridges has been suspended for 30 games without pay as a result of a domestic violence incident involving the mother of his children.

“The NBA conducted its own investigation into this matter, reviewing all available materials and interviewing numerous third-party witnesses, as well as the parties involved. The NBA also consulted with a group of domestic violence experts who provide the league with guidance in such cases. The 30-game suspension is based on all facts and circumstances of this matter and considers the conduct and its result, as well as the outcome of the criminal matter, among other factors.

“Following his arrest and plea, Mr. Bridges did not sign an NBA contract for the 2022-23 season, missing all 82 games. In recognition of that outcome, the NBA has deemed 20 games of the suspension to have been already served. If Mr. Bridges signs an NBA contract, he will be required to miss the first 10 games for which he is otherwise eligible and able to play.”

This situation was really shocking in the NBA, as Bridges was one of the most entertaining dunkers in the league. It was a big surprise when he made the headlines for bad reasons, but now he seems past that.

Rumors suggested he was trying to get back to the Charlotte Hornets, but the team denied those rumors. Now, it’s unclear where Bridges will play, but he won’t be available for the first 10 games of the campaign.

Miles Bridges Has Pleaded No Contest On Domestic Violence Charges

Back in November, Bridges pleaded no contest to these charges, which could have sent him to prison for a long time. After the legal battle was over, Bridges was free to negotiate a new deal, but nothing happened to him.

His ex was recorded trying to break into Bridges’ home, which raised a lot of eyebrows around the league. Now, Bridges appear to be ready to return to the league, as the league has shown the way for him to return to the court.
