The NBA is getting younger and younger as new talent keeps replacing the old every season, with a new generation of stars already populating the league to replace the likes of LeBron James.
LeBron said that his son was better than some players in the league already, a controversial take at the time but one that DeMar DeRozan understands because of the patterns he’s seen in the modern NBA.
“We got a lot of sorry motherf***ers in the league, imma be honest. I am the type of dude, I keep my opinions to myself, I chill, I play the backseat. Being in the league for so long, you realize how many motherf*ckers don’t love the game of basketball, who take it for granted, feel so entitled, just want everything that comes with it, but don’t want to put the work in. It’s so frustrating. We played in an era where you had to earn everything… I definitely got Bron’s standpoint of that.”

Paul George openly said that he thinks 75-100 players out of the 450 players in the NBA are straight-up trash. Listening to veterans talk about you that way has to be upsetting for the end-of-rotation guys on teams across the league right now. But the only way to move forward is to prove them wrong on the court.
Will Bronny James Impact The NBA?
The conversations started because LeBron thought Bronny can outplay players in the NBA already. The young James will be going to be a USC Trojan next season as he prepares to declare for the NBA Draft in 2024 and possibly play with his father on the same team.
Bronny is predicted to be a top-10 pick in the 2024 Draft and is already being heralded as the best defender in his class. His game is highlighted by his undying hustle ability and great defensive instincts, along with the ability to stretch the floor. Even though Bronny was a guaranteed eventual draftee by virtue of who his father is, he has made himself stand out from the rest of his class as a hustle player compared to Jrue Holiday and Marcus Smart, a really encouraging projection.
He isn’t tracking to be the superstar his dad is, but Bronny will definitely contribute to wins from his first day in the league.
