Forward Jaylen Brown is one of the best players in the world, and he is well known for his scoring and perimeter defense. There’s no doubt that he is one of the faces of the Boston Celtics, and has been a key part of their success in the last few seasons.

It was revealed that Jaylen Brown made the All-NBA team, and thus is eligible for a supermax extension with the Boston Celtics. Though there have been some rumors about him potentially leaving the Boston Celtics, an NBA GM has recently claimed that it’d be “crazy” for him to pass on a supermax offer from the Boston Celtics.

“Well, he would be crazy to pass on what Boston can give him,” one Eastern Conference GM said per Sean Deveney of Heavy Sports. “They will have to go all in and he is going to have to take it. You can’t turn down what is going to wind up being $60 million a year. Maybe he’s happy in Boston, maybe not, but if you’re Jaylen Brown and you have the opportunity to be the highest-paid player in the league, you’re damn right you take it.”

There’s no doubt that a supermax that is worth almost $60 million a season makes it absolutely worth it for Jaylen Brown to stay with the Boston Celtics. If he wants to leave, he can always request a trade later on in his contract.

In these playoffs, Jaylen Brown has averaged 25.3 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 3.5 APG for the Boston Celtics. He is clearly an All-NBA level talent, and we’ll see if he can help his team stay alive and force a Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Doris Burke Believes Jaylen Brown Has Closed The Gap In Ability Difference With Jayson Tatum

Superstar Jayson Tatum is traditionally viewed as the best player on the Boston Celtics, NBA analyst Doris Burke has recently claimed that Jaylen Brown has “closed the gap” between them, though she did note that he still needs to get fewer turnovers to improve even further.

“I think Jaylen Brown has closed the gap a little bit in terms of the difference level between he and Jayson Tatum,” the veteran analyst said. “Jaylen Brown still has to take a step in terms of his ability to not turn the ball over and Joe Mazzulla talked about it.”

It remains to be seen just how good Jaylen Brown can become in the future. He is just entering his prime years, and hopefully, we see him become a dominant player and win a championship with the Boston Celtics.
