Jimmy Butler has no shortage of self-confidence, and he proved that by declaring himself the best f****** player in the world after the Heat outclassed the New York Knicks comprehensively in Game 3.

Butler led from the front with 28 points as the Heat registered a comprehensive 105-86 win. “I’m the best f****** player in the world. Double teams, triple teams, it don’t matter,” the forward said, via Heat Nation.

The prolific forward missed Game 2 for the Heat after rolling his ankle, and New York walked away with a win. However, he was back in action for the following game and played his part to help Miami go up 2-1.

Ahead of a crucial Game 4 for both teams, Butler was listed as questionable, but the general consensus is that he would pretty much suit up. He has been their best player in the postseason averaging a playoff career-high of 34.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.

Stephen A. Smith Had Warned The New York Knicks About Jimmy Butler

Earlier, NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith had cautioned the Knicks about running into a red-hot Butler in their second-round playoff matchup.

“Jimmy Butler is a superstar in the playoffs,” Smith said on NBA on ESPN. “He is something special, and he’s a rough rider. He’s a dog. He’s not one of those people that’s just trying to win. He wants to come to Gotham City, Mecca, and Madison Square Garden, and ruin everything for New Yorkers. That’s what he wants to do. That’s the kind of spirit he got. We have to stop this man.”

It was easier said than done as Butler found a way to constantly get past the Knicks’ defense. Now, he will be eager to close the series out in the next couple of games. And he gets his chance when the Heat lock horns with the Knicks again when they meet in Miami for a pivotal Game 4.

Only time will tell if Butler can keep that self-confidence high as he gears up to face tougher teams if they vault over the Knicks.
