In Game 7 between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings, Stephen Curry’s greatness was on full display. He dropped 50 points to lead the team to a win in a crucial matchup and showed why he is a legend of the game.

After the game, Steve Kerr likened Stephen Curry to Michael Jordan. He pointed out that everyone takes Curry “for granted”, and added that watching him reminded him of how he felt when being Michael Jordn’s teammate.

“He doesn’t surprise me,” Kerr said. “We all take him for granted because he’s brilliant night after night, and we’ve been watching this for 10 years. You just have to remind yourself every once in a while, big picture this is one of the great players in the history of the game. That’s how I felt back in my playing days with Michael Jordan. You’d see it night after night so you just took it for granted.”

It is clear that Stephen Curry is a top-10 player of all time already, and he could climb even higher on the list of legends if he wins more championships. He is playing on another level right now, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him in the Finals once again. It will be interesting to see if he can ever reach Jordan’s level, and some believe that he is already on that tier with LeBron James.

Against the Sacramento Kings, Stephen Curry averaged 33.7 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 4.9 APG. He is dominating in his own way, and we’ll see how he ends up doing against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Stephen Curry Has Been Likened To Michael Jordan Before

There is no doubt that this is far from the first Stephen Curry-Michael Jordan comparison. In fact, NBA analyst Bobby Marks once stated that he believes Stephen Curry is the second-best player of all time behind Michael Jordan.

“I’m going to stun you with this take here. I actually think Steph Curry is the second-best player of all time. Right behind Michael Jordan. Curry has this instinct what I saw with Jordan. Anytime he has the ball you think it’s going to go in. He is a threat offensively. I think we’ve got 3 or 4 more years of Curry in his prime right now… I would put Curry ahead of LeBron James right now, as far as that No. 2 guy behind Michael Jordan… He’ll be a solid No. 2 when we get to 3 or 4 years from now.

Hopefully, we see Stephen Curry win more championships in the future and be mentioned with Michael Jordan. The Warriors definitely have the talent to do so, and with him at the helm, absolutely everything is possible.
