Jimmy Butler made a statement in Game 4 of the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Miami Heat series, going off with 56 points against the Bucks, making it clear they’ll need a lot to take him out of the NBA playoffs.

The Bucks need to make big changes to prevent another performance like this, and Jay Williams believes Giannis Antetokounmpo must step in and guard Jimmy B in Game 5.

“I’m gonna need the Defensive Player of the Year to actually guard Jimmy Butler, every possession,” he said. “It’s time. If he’s dropping 56 on you — I know Game 4 coming back off the back injury — but we’ve talked about this when Giannis was playing against Kevin Durant, and it was like, ‘Alright, here’s the matchup.’”

This is a big task for anybody, but as Williams said, Antetokounmpo is a former Defensive Player of the Year, and he should be the one taking on this responsibility. Besides, from a fan standpoint, it’s always great to see the best players of each team going against each other.

The Bucks have great defenders besides Giannis, but this should be his responsibility for as long as the team keeps playing in this series.

Jimmy Butler Comes Off A Historical Playoffs Performance

With his incredible performance against the Heat on Monday, Butler became the fourth player with the most points scored in a single playoff game. He’s tied with Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, and Wilt Chamberlain, which shows how legendary that performance was.

Now, the Heat will try to close things out at Fiserv Forum, pulling off the big upset against the Bucks. They are inspired, even after a couple of key players suffered injuries.

Butler is on a mission, and he can make another statement tonight if the Bucks don’t make the adjustments. Giannis must take a step forward and go against Butler, or his team will be out of the playoffs way earlier than expected.
