Skip Bayless Says LeBron James Will Move To 8th All-Time If He Wins Another Championship With The Lakers

Notorious LeBron haters reveals where he'll rank the Kings if he wins a title this year.

Just a few months ago, nobody was giving the Lakers a chance against any of the top teams in the West. But after a series of trades changed the makeup of the roster, the Purple and Gold are now considered the favorites to beat the second-seeded Grizzlies and advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs.

It has been a truly miraculous turnaround for the Lakeshow, spearheaded by non-other than LeBron James himself. But even if James somehow leads the Lakers to a championship, it still won’t be enough for Skip Bayless. In fact, as he said on the Skip Bayless Show, LeBron would only move up to sixth All-Time if he wins another title.

“The facts about LeBron’s career remain the facts. I can’t help it, I can’t erase it, I can’t expunge it from his record. LeBron has suffered epic meltdowns… he currently ranks 9th on my All-Time list. If, and it’s a big IF, LeBron carries the Lakers to another title, I could see him jumping to 8th on my all-time Top 10 list.”

Bayless has always been among LeBron’s biggest haters, so it’s shouldn’t be a huge surprise that James ranks just 9th on his list. But if he’s able to capture a 5th championship, just one behind Jordan, it would be enough for most fans to call him the GOAT.

The question is, is that outcome possible this season, given how everything began?

Do The Lakers Have A Path To The NBA Finals?

The journey for LeBron’s 5th ring hasn’t been easy, and there’s still a long way to go before the missions are complete. But given that the team started 2-10 this season, they can be proud to be up 2-1 in the playoffs against the second-seeded Grizzlies.

Of course, just based on talent alone, the Lakers have more than enough to go multiple rounds deep this year.

“If you actually look at it now, damn, the Lakers, that was the easiest path to the Conference Finals, and you’re gonna see because they’re gonna be in the Conference Finals,” said Charles Barkley. “I’d rather be in the play-in and play one bad team at home. Ask the Lakers how they feel right now. The Clippers got a tougher road because they have to go through the Suns and Denver.”

We will find out soon enough how far the Lakers can go this year, but even Skip Bayless will be re-evaluating his All-Time list if LeBron gets it done, and so should everybody else.
