After apparently being unable to move his arm in the first half of Game 1, Anthony Davis isn’t expected to miss any time. Still, with his health once again under the spotlight, it’s hard to trust that Davis will be able to stay on the floor for more than a few games at a time.
Speaking on NBA Countdown after the injury scare, Stephen A. Smith let loose on the situation and gave his unfiltered reaction…
“This is unbelievable. We don’t even get to evaluate the greatness of Anthony Davis because something happens. How long is this brother gonna last? Is he going to get hurt? Sure enough, before the first half is even finished, he goes down… he better be back!”

Of course, Anthony Davis ended up coming back into the game and he has been confirmed for game 2 as well so he seems to be mostly okay. But one has to wonder if he feels any lingering discomfort from the incident, and how long it will be until something else happens.
For now, AD is going to push through it and he knows that just being on the floor gives his team a better chance to win.
Anthony Davis Is Confident Lakers Can Win It All
Despite the struggles and the team record, Davis is entering these playoffs with a clean slate and he still believes in what his team can do against any team in the West.
“I think seeding doesn’t matter,” said Lakers big man Anthony Davis, via ESPN Dave McMenamin. “Once you get in, it’s all about matchups and things like that. We don’t look at ourselves as underdogs, obviously.”
No matter the results of Game 1, this series will likely be a long one and Davis is going to have to take over if he wants his team to pull through with a win.
after that, all bets are off as far as how far they can go, but how AD’s body holds up over the course of these next few weeks may very well determine who comes out of the Western Conference.
