Joel Embiid is the talk of the town around the NBA after yet another impressive game. The Philadelphia 76ers took on the Boston Celtics, and Embiid showed why he’s right there, fighting for the MVP award.

So much so that he received some endorsements from one of his former teammates, who claimed he should have won the MVP award last season.

“Joel’s the MVP. He should’ve been MVP last year too,” Jimmy Butler, who played with Embiid in the 2018-19 season, claimed after Embiid’s big game against the Celtics.

Upon hearing Joel Embiid put a 50 burger on the Celtics, Jimmy Butler: “Joel’s the MVP. He should’ve been MVP last year too.”

Added to his 52 points, Embiid grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out 6 assists, obviously becoming the MVP of a game that put his team 2 games away from the Boston Celtics. If they win the next three games and the Celtics lose them all, the Sixers would finish the season as the No. 2 team in the East.

The former No. 3 overall pick is finishing the 2022-23 NBA season on a high note, and things could be even better for him and his team. Right now, they’re looking very dangerous, and if Embiid keeps this level, it’s going to be scary hours for their rivals.

Joel Embiid Posts 52 Points In Big Win Against Boston Celtics

Joel Embiid is living great times right now, as many people are convinced he’s the deserving 2023 NBA MVP. This performance only confirmed what many believed, and if there was somebody who doubted the player, his show against the Celtics shut them down.

Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, and Doc Rivers recently made a case for Embiid, who looks ready to win the coveted award this season. Nikola Jokic appeared to be a lock for this prize, but in recent weeks, Embiid has closed the breach and is now considered the rightful winner by many people.

Things are finishing the right way for the Sixers, but now the biggest challenge starts. They need to prove that they can win it all, or this will be another wasted season for them.
