Kawhi Leonard’s massive hands have been the subject of discussion for quite some time now, and now those monstrous palms and digits have been in the spotlight again, especially after how big they look compared to that of his teammate, Paul George.

In a viral post doing the rounds on social media, Leonard’s hands were reported to be the ninth-largest in NBA history. There’s no surprise that he has been called ‘The Klaw.’

The image above speaks volumes with Leonard’s hands painting a David vs. Goliath picture. This isn’t the first instance that his hands were in focus as they were once compared to Shaquille O’Neal’s. Per Business Insider, his hands were measured at 11.5 inches prior to the 2011 NBA draft.

In an earlier interview with Serge Ibaka on ‘How Hungry Are You?’, Leonard had spoken about how it would hinder his shooting at times.

“It’s just kinda difficult shooting sometimes. It’s just difficult. A lot of hard work. You know, sometimes, like, if you shoot a girl’s basketball, it’s smaller, it’s hard to shoot it, hard to roll off your hands. So, some games or some shots that I do shoot, it’ll be too far in my hands, so I have to really focus on that.”

Fans on Reddit share their two cents on Leonard’s hand. “Not really considering Shaqs massiveness in general. It’s crazy that Kawhi is about the same while being 5 inches shorter,” one wrote. “I agree. Can u imagine his fingertip save?” another asked.

“No wonder they call him the claw,” a fan commented. And here’s one that’s funny: “Kawhi doesn’t carry his baby he simply cups it in his hands like a teacup.”

Safe to say, his hands have played their part in Leonard becoming one of the best two-way players in the modern-day NBA.

All Eyes Are On Kawhi Leonard As The LA Clippers Sweat Over Paul George’s Injury

It was bad news for the Clippers and George as he went down with a knee injury during the team’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The blow couldn’t have come at a worse time as LA looks to make the playoffs in a delicately poised Western Conference.

At the time of writing, they are placed fifth in the standings with a 38-35 record — proof of what they could do when the team’s superstar duo of Leonard and George are healthy.

Leonard has been averaging 23.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists this season, and with George ruled out for a couple of weeks, all eyes will be on the forward to make an impact and shoulder the load for the team as they look to hoist the silverware.
