Every NBA fan knows that there is a lot of animosity between Dillon Brooks and Draymond Green. The two have traded shots at one another in the latter half of this season, and it’s gotten ugly at times.

Recently, after a hard-fought game between the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies, Kyrie Irving refused to swap jerseys with Dillon Brooks. And Draymond Green‘s reaction to that is quite hilarious.

(starts at 16:26 minutes)

“Jackson wanted me to talk about Kyrie not taking Dillon Brooks’ jersey,” Draymond Green said. He then proceeded to laugh hysterically for a few seconds before saying, “Wow! Wow! Wow!”

Draymond Green then moved on from the topic without saying anything else, continuing to talk about the MVP race in the NBA this season. But his reaction said more than enough, with Green finding it quite hilarious that Irving would refuse to swap jerseys with Brooks.

Dillon Brooks still had the last laugh on the night of the game itself. The Memphis Grizzlies overcame a significant deficit to beat the Dallas Mavericks. And the Western Conference is so wild at the moment that this ended up helping Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors. Draymond and the Warriors will take on the Mavericks in what will be a season-defining clash on Wednesday night.

Kyrie Irving Spoke About Why He Didn’t Take Dillon Brooks’ Jersey

Kyrie Irving is usually someone that respects and shows love to players across the NBA. He recently went to bat for Ja Morant after his latest controversies. Dillon Brooks may not be the most popular guy in the league, but Irving isn’t one to judge any of his fellow players. And his explanation of the incident shows that he didn’t exactly mean to deny Brooks.

“I saw that after the game,” Kyrie said. “I’ll probably get it next time. Probably next time. Not this time. I was really onto the next thing, thought process-wise.”

The fact that the Mavericks had lost a very winnable game may have been playing on Irving’s mind. He went 0-8 in the 4th quarter, which was part of the reason why too. As far as Brooks is concerned, he has openly praised Kyrie Irving, going as far as to say he wants to be like him. But the incident happened, and Draymond Green certainly wasn’t going to miss the chance to laugh at Brooks’ expense.
