On his new show ‘Podcast P,’ Clippers star Paul George lets fans see a more personal side to him as he speaks on all subjects concerning life in the NBA.

In one of his most recent episodes, PG even gave his take on a player that some fans haven’t really noticed yet:

“Probably on everyone’s radar is Jaden McDaniels in Minnesota. He got game; great defender, good feet, quick hands.”

It might not be the name fans were expecting, but George understood the assignment. On paper, McDaniels doesn’t seem like anything special and he’s definitely not a player most casual fans would recognize — but PG sees something in him that should get the Timberwolves very excited.

Averaging 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2 assists per game on 51% shooting, McDaniels is showing flashes of his scoring potential while also holding his own on the other end as well. In truth, he’s a solid young player who is only going to get better with added experience.

Unfortunately, the state of the Timberwolves as an organization isn’t nearly in as good of a spot right now.

Could The Timberwolves Blow It Up This Summer?

Jaden may end up being a bigger part of Minnesota’s future than we all thought.  After trading for Rudy Gobert this summer, the Wolves had title aspirations — and those were quickly squashed when the team struggled to open the season.

Now, there are rumblings that the Wolves could start over and look for trades involving Karl-Anthony Towns.

“Teams are already talking about it,” Timberwolves insider Jon Krawczynski said on an episode of the Lowe Post podcast. “There’s no doubt that other teams are eyeing this situation and looking to see if KAT will become available…if the bottom falls out of this thing and they go forward that way, there are going to be teams knocking on the door.”

Only time will tell how the future plays out for the young Timberwolves, but it’s hard to see a world where it doesn’t include McDaniels, who is still just 22 years old.
