Stephen Curry missing three-pointers always makes for news. Considering the sharpshooter’s stellar fact of draining 42.8% from beyond the arc in his career, a miss, even if it is a turnaround three, grabs attention instantly.
And the 34-year-old missed on in the Golden State Warriors 131-110 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. With 4:14 remaining in the first quarter and the Grizzlies leading 28-21, Curry had a pass coming from Donte DiVincenzo and he let it fly from the three-point range, turning around and making a dash at the other end — only for the ball to hit the rim and bounce out.

Curry ended his evening by top-scoring for the Warriors with 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. He went 10-of-19 from the field and 4-of-8 from downtown. But it wasn’t enough to pip the Grizzlies as the Warriors endured their third loss in a row on the road.
Stephen Curry Is Still Optimistic About The Golden State Warriors Playoff Aspirations
The results on the road may not have gone their way, but Stephen Curry isn’t too perturbed about the run, or even the team’s playoff chances. On paper, they are on track to make the postseason with a 34-32 record after the loss to Memphis.
Per NBC Sports, Curry was optimistic about the Warriors’ playoff run. “So, there’s just a lot that we’re trying to deal with and still stay optimistic about where we’re headed because until we get beat, we still feel like we’re a tough matchup for anybody,” he said. “And that’s the confidence we have to have down the stretch and headed to the postseason.”
The focus will be on Curry as he gears up for what promises to be a tough postseason. At the time of writing, the guard is averaging 29.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists this season. He will be integral in the team’s deeper journey in the playoffs.
The Warriors play the Milwaukee Bucks up next, followed by a clash against the Phoenix Suns.
