The Los Angeles Lakers are flying high after a strong win over a healthy Golden State Warriors while being without LeBron James.
After the Lakers win, Draymond Green was seen getting friendly with Anthony Davis on the court, with a fan alleging that AD told Green ‘let’s get you as a Laker next season’.

Another fan promptly shared evidence of the moment which can only be faintly heard over the game’s broadcast, as Davis covered his mouth while speaking to Green.

People can have different interpretations of what was said based on the faint audio that we can hear. Green is a free agent in the summer if he opts out of his contract and could be one of the best pieces available for a team that wants to contend in the short term.
Will The Lakers Want To Sign Draymond Green?
The Los Angeles Lakers have been quite deliberate in their dealing to ensure they have cap space next summer. If they want, they can basically empty their roster out with only 3 notable players under guaranteed contracts for next season, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Jarred Vanderbilt.
With the money that the Lakers can free up, many expect them to go after a player like Kyrie Irving, someone LeBron clearly wants to play with. However, Draymond has been extremely friendly with LeBron for the last few seasons. If there’s any superstar that Draymond would leave playing with Stephen Curry for, it’s LeBron. Some reports have suggested James is open to playing with Green as well.
Green has a $27.5 million player option next season, something he could opt out of and take a gamble on a bigger payday in the offseason. It wouldn’t make sense for the Lakers to abandon their deep roster with complementary young players to sign Draymond to a big-money contract given his age and offensive limitations. If Green wants to take a major pay cut, he might as well stay with the Warriors instead of accepting a smaller offer sheet from the Lakers.
