Russell Westbrook has been the talk of the town in the NBA but not for the best reasons. The veteran point guard is yet to win a game with the Los Angeles Clippers, earning criticism from fans.

During the most recent game, the Golden State Warriors constantly left him open, and Russ had an honest response to that strategy.

“Just be aggressive. Find ways to be effective. I thought I did a great job of it in the first half. Second half, struggled to make shots. I had opportunities to be able to swing, make plays, and do anything I needed to do, and I just missed some shots too, it’s alright. Get ready for the next one,” Russell Westbrook said after the loss, via Tomer Azarly of Clutch Points.

Russ had a terrible game, scoring only 8 points, going 3-12 from the field, 0-5 from beyond the arc, and having a plus-minus of -10. The Clips lost a big game against the Warriors, going from 4th to 7th in the Western Conference in the last four games.

Russell Westbrook Has Lost His Last 14 Games As A Starter

Westbrook is having a difficult time with the Clippers, and a terrible stat about his starts made the rounds around the NBA community. Westbrook has lost each one of the last 14 games he has started in the NBA.

This isn’t a flattering stat at all, and the player must find a way to fix it before it’s too late. He was heavily criticized during his stay with the Los Angeles Lakers until he was benched. His impact on the team increased after that, but Russ didn’t leave the franchise on the best terms.

Now, history is repeating with the Clippers. They need to find a way to start winning games again. Perhaps they’re still adjusting with Russ on the court, but the season is reaching its boiling point, and nobody wants to enter the playoffs on a low note, which is the case for the Clippers right now.
