LeBron James and Anthony Davis couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw that they led the Golden State Warriors by 24 points during one of the stages of the game.
A mid-game conversation between the two Los Angeles Lakers superstars went viral as the big man looked up at the scoreboard and had a priceless reaction which was seconded by James.
AD: “I can’t remember the last time we were up 24 with this much time.”
LeBron: “Never, never”

The surprise is real, and a rather pleasant one for a team that’s had a rather inconsistent run throughout the season so far. The icing on the cake for the side was that they ended their Thursday evening with a dominant 124-111 win against the short-handed Warriors.
Davis and James didn’t really have great outings as they recorded just 12 and 13 points respectively. But the rest of the team contributed with key performances on both ends of the court — something LA will need for the remainder of their campaign.
Can The New-Look Los Angeles Lakers Salvage Their Season?
The Los Angeles Lakers had a major roster overhaul ahead of the trade deadline. They acquired Rui Hachimura from the Washington Wizards and later bolstered their lineup with a couple of shooters in D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley.
They added the likes of Jared Vanderbilt and Mo Bamba to add more teeth to the defensive end. The results have been good since the side has notched up a couple of wins to get on the right track as the regular season closes to a finish.
That said, the Purple and Gold have work to do. With 22 games left, they will need to win at least a good 15 games or more to stay on track to make the postseason.
With Davis and James playing more games, despite their persistent injury issues, the Lakers just might salvage the season, and perhaps even go deeper if they go past the first round in the playoffs.
