Jabari Smith Jr. was the marquee draft pick for the Houston Rockets this season, being a part of the pre-draft Big 3 alongside Paolo Banchero and Chet Holmgren.

Smith may have been shocked to see himself fall to No. 3 in the Draft but hasn’t had a season better than Paolo Banchero so far, while Holmgren has been out with injury. The Rockets are one of the worst teams in the NBA this season and there is still a lot of room for growth in Smith’s skillset.

Smith is very promising and has shown a willingness to compete and defend at a high level. The Rockets will need him to try and shut down MVP candidate Joel Embiid tomorrow, but it seems Philadelphia Eagles fans on the streets after their Super Bowl loss won’t be letting him get a good night’s rest.

“Man, can y’all just go to sleep? Y’all folks lost. Y’all out here beating drums and keeping me up, man, I’m tryna sleep. I got Embiid tomorrow and y’all are beating drums. Please just go to sleep man, I know y’all mad, I know. You win some, you lose some, but you live. Making all this noise, God damn.”

The Super Bowl ended badly for the Eagles after a controversial penalty call allowed the Kansas City Chiefs to win the final game of the NFL season. The Eagles haven’t won a Super Bowl since 2018 when Kobe Bryant celebrated his hometown team’s win.

The Philadelphia 76ers Hoping To End The Philly Sports Curse This Year

Out of the 5 major sports teams in Philadelphia, 3 of them have reached the Finals in their respective sport and lost. The city is reeling from Finals losses in soccer, baseball, and now football. With the 76ers being among the contenders in the NBA this season, the pressure to bring some joy to the city will be on them.

The 76ers are most likely not worried about the 13-43 Rockets ahead of this game. No matter how much Jabari sleeps tonight, the 76ers are going to be a handful, especially with Joel Embiid playing at an extremely high level.

He is averaging 33.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 1.1 steals this season. The franchise hopes they can make a Finals run with the East getting weaker after the trade deadline, though the Celtics and Bucks are still looking like favorites ahead of them.
