The 2 teams participating in this year’s Super Bowl LVII have finally been decided. The AFC winners and 2019 winners Kansas City Chiefs, will take on the 2017 winners Philadelphia Eagles. The biggest spectacle in American sports has consumed the sports world and caused people to think back to the championship-winning moments of both teams in recent history.
The Eagles have a number of notable supporters, but nobody is more notable than Kobe Bryant. Even though Kobe was a Los Angeles legend, he actually played high school ball and had his first experience of growing up in the USA in Philadelphia. Fans have shared an old video of Kobe repping for the Eagles on Twitter.

Bryant also had a notable reaction to the Eagles winning the 2017 Super Bowl, the franchise’s first Super Bowl win ever.
The Eagles will hope to pull off a title again this year, and if they succeed, we know that Kobe will be happy wherever he is. The team once used a Kobe motivational video to pump themselves up before a game which led to them winning 24-8, only the second time that score ever has been achieved in an NFL game.
Kobe Bryant And The Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are building a reputation as one of the toughest teams in the NFL, and the reason isn’t dissimilar to what made Kobe Bryant so special. He spoke about what evoked the viral reaction to the win on ESPN in 2017.
“The spirit of the Eagle took over me and I just couldn’t contain myself, but I had to because I was holding on to a 1-year-old.”
Bryant was special and his fandom for the Eagles paid off with a Super Bowl win. Hopefully, the team can win another title this season but it’ll be hard doing it against the Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs.
