The 2022-23 NBA season hasn’t really been great for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Purple and Gold have been stuck in a seemingly endless cycle of winning a couple of games and then going on to lose several games.
As a result, the Los Angeles Lakers are currently the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a record of 25-29. Keeping that in mind, the Lakers definitely need to make a few decisions to get better. Former number 2 overall pick Michael Beasley certainly seems interested in helping the team.
In a recent interview, Beasley initially was talking about LeBron James on the verge of breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar‘s all-time scoring record. But in the end, Beasley did talk about a potential reunion with the Lakers.
Via TMZ Sports:
“They gon’ keep hating. It’s a good percentage of the world that just wanna go against the grain. That’s literally what we get. We get the ones who wanna go against the grain. He earned it. You can’t really say too much after that, you know. He the best.”
“Yeah, 100%,” Beasley said if he wants to play with the Lakers again. “If they called, I ain’t gonna let my pride get in the way, 100%”
Beasley was part of the Lakers back in the 2018-19 NBA season, and since then, he has been out of the league. If the Lakers need a veteran player this season, the 34-year-old can be a great addition to the roster.
Los Angeles Lakers Lost The Race For Kyrie Irving
Even before the start of the 2022-23 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in pursuit of a trade for Kyrie Irving. So when Irving recently requested a trade from the Nets, many fans expected to see a reunion between LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
Unfortunately, that dream was shattered when Kyrie was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. This has led to the Mavericks having the newest dynamic duo with Kyrie and Luka Doncic.
