When considering the NBA’s most disagreeable and controversial players, Kyrie Irving is one name that must be mentioned. Irving, 30, has been known to say some rather outlandish things throughout his career and has made some decisions in the past that are questionable, to say the least.

This season, however, Irving has seemingly put a stop to all the theatrics to keep his head down and focus on the game of basketball. So far, it has worked.

Not only are the Nets the 2nd best team in the East, but Kyrie is also having one of the best individual seasons of his career.

Off the court, however, things aren’t going nearly as smoothly for the 7x All-Star. Besides being cut from Nike a few weeks ago, Uncle Drew has also just been suspended from Instagram for reasons that are still unknown at this time.

Irving posted the following message on the story of his backup account:

“They suspended my account, idk why, nor do I care to know the reason why. Tribe by tribe: make sure y’all are paying attention to everything that’s going on. Stand firm no matter what.”

Irving has been on his best behavior this season, so it’s a mystery why Instagram decided to suspend him now. Unfortunately for Irving, it’s just the way things have been going for him since last year’s scandalous season.

Kyrie Irving And Kevin Durant Are The Best Duo In The NBA This Season

For the first time since Durant and Kyrie came together, we finally got a glimpse of this team at the height of its potential, and it’s a scary sight for the rest of the league.

As two of the best scorers on the planet, KD and Kyrie have elevated the Nets to a level very rarely seen.

“I have heard each of them talk about the art of basketball and I think that describes them well. They just continue to elevate their craft,” said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. “Their craft for the game. There’s great players in this league, and then there’s great players that are a different level where you can’t really do anything to scheme against them. You just have to do what you do extremely well, you can’t make mistakes, you have to make it tough and play really well. The way they can get to where they wanna go to and then see how they shoot is so uncommon because they see all these different schemes, everybody is challenging them everybody is trying to get into their airspace but they’re extremely accurate.”

Durant will be out for a few weeks, so it will be interesting to see how the Nets manage without him. Last year, they completely fell apart, and it served as a hint as to what would come in the spring.

This time, the trajectory of this team just feels different. How they respond to this stretch without their best player may just be their biggest test yet…
