Trae Young is one of the best point guards in the league, and he is currently the face of the Atlanta Hawks. There is no doubt that he is having a productive year for the Hawks, and Trae Young is averaging 27.5 PPG, 2.8 RPG, and 9.9 APG.

There is no doubt that Trae Young is in a position to compete with the Atlanta Hawks right now, but there is a chance that he could end up leaving in the future. A previous report suggested that he could end up requesting a trade in the future.

Rival executives in attendance at the NBA’s annual G League Winter Showcase are of the belief that Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young could be the next player on a rookie max extension to request a trade if the team doesn’t make inroads come postseason time.

There is no doubt that Trae Young requesting a trade seems unlikely as of right now. However, as the report mentions, he could end up doing so if the Hawks don’t make progress in the playoffs, and this seems as though it could be a key year for his future with the franchise.

The Dallas Mavericks Could Land Luka Doncic In The Future Based On Odds

A recent article from Dalton Trigg revealed that oddsmakers have the Dallas Mavericks as the favorites to land him in the future. It is clear that people are at least aware of that possibility.

When surveying the NBA landscape for potential trade opportunities, the idea of Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young becoming available has us intrigued. The Mavs drafted Young in the 2018 NBA Draft before trading him to the Hawks for Luka Doncic. What if they traded for Young this time to create a star-studded backcourt with Doncic in Dallas?

As crazy as it may seem, oddsmakers agree with us that this is a possibility to keep an eye on going forward. According to SportsBetting.ag, the Mavs have the top odds of being Young’s next team at +250. The Miami Heat are second at +350, and the Boston Celtics are third at +400.

It would definitely be interesting to see Trae Young team up with Luka Doncic in the future. The duo already have some history, notably being traded for one another on draft night. However, they have always been friendly with one another, and Trae Young once noted that his connection to Luka Doncic is a good thing.

Obviously, just because they’re the betting favorite doesn’t mean that the Dallas Mavericks will actually land Trae Young. However, nothing happens for no reason, and perhaps we will actually see Trae Young in a Mavericks jersey in the future.
