Lionel Messi has become a world champion after playing in five FIFA World Cups. The Argentinian superstar finally completed one of his biggest dreams, taking his national team to the promised land after a tumultuous start to the 2022 tournament.

It wasn’t an easy path for the South American side, who lost in the first game of the cup against Saudi Arabia and then recorded three straight wins before tying with the Netherlands and eliminating them via penalty shootouts. They got rid of Croatia easily and, in the most difficult match of the tournament, needed the penalties again to win the championship.

Everybody was in awe after this match ended, with NBA stars reacting to Messi’s big performance and the incredible game we witnessed. Nobody thought the game would be this incredible, but this was a great surprise.

LeBron James Says Lionel Messi Is The Soccer GOAT

LeBron James, who saw his doppelgänger during the tournament, was watching the match and reacting to all the big plays that happened. He sent a shootout to Kylian Mbappe, who scored three goals during regulation time and then the first penalty for France.

After the match was over, James crowned Lionel Messi the greatest soccer player of all time by using an emoji, showing his respect for the Paris Saint-Germain star.

“MESSI ,” James wrote on Twitter.

He also shared a story showing Messi kissing the World Cup trophy.

After many years of debate to define who is the better player between Lionel Messi and Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, many fans think the debate is over, and now Messi sits alone on the throne.

Of course, other fans will try to find a way to make a case for their favorite players, especially in the future. But for now, it’s safe to say that Messi is the greatest of all time in the world of soccer. Congrats to Leo and the Argentina national team!
