NBA Fans Agree That Dirk Nowitzki’s 2011 Title Is Worth More Than Kevin Durant’s 2017 And 2018 Titles: “Arguably The Most Valuable Single Ring In NBA History. Crazy Run.”

NBA fans reached the conclusion that Dirk Nowitzki's 2011 NBA Championship is easily worth more than Kevin Durant's 2017 and 2018 rings he won while playing for the Warriors.

The Kevin Durant trade saga reached its conclusion, with the former NBA MVP deciding to run it back with the Brooklyn Nets. KD will hope to add more rings to his resume.

So far, Durant has won just two rings in his NBA career, but most believe those rings hold little to no value. The sole reason behind that is the fact Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the already stacked Warriors and completely disrupted the power balance of the league.

Even his former teammate Stephen Curry seems aware of the value of those two rings. Because in a recent interview, Curry said he’d pick his 2022 NBA Championship over the 2017 and 2018 titles that he won while playing together with KD.

Despite that, Steph also recently mentioned that he loved the idea of teaming up with KD again following the rumors. But KD ultimately decided to stay put with the Nets.

Anyway, coming back to the primary focus of this article, how much are KD’s rings with the Warriors actually worth?

Dirk Nowitzki’s 2011 NBA Championship Is Unarguably Worth More Than KD’s Two Rings With The Warriors

Kevin Durant is a phenomenal player, there are no two ways to look at it. But the fact that he wasn’t even able to win a single NBA Championship before joining the stacked Warriors has hurt his legacy. So much so that fans have once again started to compare rings won by other NBA stars.

Upon seeing this post, NBA fans were quick to gather and agree to the fact that Dirk’s ring was indeed more valuable than the two rings that Durant won.

jayfrmmorgan: True Kd Has 0 Rings.

myelevatedmind: Arguably the most valuable single ring in nba history. Crazy run.

thmpsxn: Dirk literally got the most difficult ring of all time in NBA history.

vraineg: 2011 and 2016 the craziest rings imo.

straightface94: I guarantee you that 2011 Mavericks team would give the KD’s Warriors A Problem Cause For 1 Who Is Stopping Dirk???

bobby_bando: Rings are rings tf they all have the same value.

wtfitsem: Idk which is more valuable, but Dirks is def more respected bc of how he got it.

kumo_i94o99: I hate the term valuable used to describe a ring so imma say impressive.

arhum_m: It’s better than a lot of rings from other players as well.

pani_p4n: Each championship has its own trials and tribulations, saying something like that is so disrespectful to BOTH players. Stop comparing people goddamnit!

stergy7: Dirk’s ring is probably the most valuable ever. Best playoff run we ever saw until Bron in 16 and 18.

zaneatkinsgill: Yes 100% true Durant bought his ring dirks was earned through hard work no disrespect to Durant but it’s the truth.

As expected, most fans didn’t hold back when comparing the two players’ championship runs and reached the conclusion that Dirk’s ring holds more value than that KD’s.

In the 2011 playoffs, Dirk and the Dallas Mavericks defeated amazing team after team throughout the postseason. They began their journey by overpowering the Portland Trail Blazers by 4-2. Next up, they faced the Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol-led Los Angeles Lakers. Although it was a difficult matchup, the Mavs swept the Lakers and won the series by 4-0.

Following that amazing series was the young Big 3 of the Oklahoma City Thunder, featuring Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden. But they were no match for Dirk and co. as they won the series by 4-1.

Finally, the Mavericks faced the superteam of the Miami Heat with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. After the series tied at 2-2, Dirk had two insane games and closed it out by 4-2, winning the sole NBA Championship and NBA Finals MVP of his career.
