Vince Carter Says Nikola Jokic Is The Top European Player In The NBA
Former player-turned-analyst Vince Carter recently gave his two cents on this situation, offering an interesting and somewhat unique perspective when it comes to these three. The Toronto Raptors legend sided with Jokic, saying that the Serbian center gets the job done, even if his style of play isn’t the most attractive. (17:38):
“Yeah, there’s a lot of people saying Giannis is the best in the game or right there with the best in the game, and Luka is doing what Luka does,” Carter said. “But right now it’s weird, I’m gonna say it’s weird to me when you talk about big men. I mean, I think of Shaq when he dominated, he was absolutely considered one of the best in the game.”
“I think right now, how can you not give credit to the reigning MVP? He’s a superstar in his own right because he’s not the flashy guy, but he gets it done. He gets it done.”
Jokic is a very talented player who can do almost anything on the court. He’s not as flashy as others, he’s not the most popular among fans and the media, but he knows how to play basketball and be effective with his strengths. Giannis and Luka are way more spectacular, but for somebody who was spectacular like Carter, he’s going with Jokic over the forward and the guard.
