LeBron James Had Special Praise For Kendrick Lamar After His Vancouver Concert: “You’re 1 Of A Kind, My Brother. Special Show By A Special Person.”

LeBron James is enjoying his offseason to the fullest. After an incredibly tough season in 2021-22, LeBron has taken his time away from the NBA and done whatever he pleases. His appearances at the Drew League and the Crawsover broke the internet, and he is just living the best life he can as a man in his position of wealth and status.

He was recently spotted at the Kendrick Lamar concert in Vancouver, Canada, getting a shout-out by the rapper and a thunderous ovation by the city. The ovation in Canada is even more remarkable considering the rivalry the Toronto Raptors had against LeBron-led teams, being eliminated by LeBron’s Cavs in 4 consecutive seasons from 2015 to 2018.

James has addressed his appearance at the concert and thanked the city for its hospitability during his first-ever visit. He wrote a special thank you for Kendrick Lamar, calling him a special person and appreciating his concert.

Vancouver!! Thank you for the hospitality over the weekend. 1st time in your beautiful, wonderful city! @kendricklamar you’re 1 of a kind my brother! SPECIAL show by a SPECIAL person! Appreciate the love! πŸ™πŸΎβœŠπŸΎπŸ€ŽπŸ‘‘

LeBron has a deep connection with rap, being shouted out by stars like Kanye West and Jay-Z before. His fandom for the musical genre is well-known, and interacting with someone like Kendrick would have been a great experience for him too.

The days are shedding off the calendar very quickly, and we are barrelling towards the start of training camp. With LeBron’s sons going back to school, it’s time for LBJ to start locking in for the challenge that the 2022-23 season will pose. As of now, the Lakers still have Russell Westbrook on the squad but whether he will be moved for rotational pieces is unknown.c

LA just traded for Patrick Beverley, who first played alongside LeBron in the 2010 Miami Heat training camp. Adding him is a step in the right direction, but the Lakers need to do a lot more to have a winning roster.

If healthy, LeBron will be on track to break the NBA’s all-time scoring record set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. It’s going to be a historic season for LeBron regardless, but he’ll like for it to be accompanied by some championship glory.
