Scotty Pippen Jr. Explains How LeBron James’ Work Ethic Has Motivated Him: “Just Seeing Him Every Morning, Grinding And Working, It Says A Lot About Him.”

Scotty Pippen Jr. was one of the biggest positives out of Summer League for the Los Angeles Lakers. The undrafted rookie showcased his all-around abilities as he impressed everyone with his displays on the court, and there is a good chance that he will crack their rotation at some point.

He has been impressing behind the scenes as well and has caught the eye of LeBron James, who hyped up the youngster on Twitter by stating that he has a bright future. LeBron is not someone who just showers praise like that on everybody, so if Scotty can keep his head down and work diligently on his craft, then he has what it takes to play in the league for a long time. He has a great role model to do just that in James, who is one of the hardest workers in the league. Pippen recently spoke about what it is like to watch LeBron operate during practice and added that it motivates him to work harder.

via Lakers Nation:

“His work ethic. I think it’s Year 19 or something like that, so just seeing him in the morning, grinding and working, it says a lot about him. It says a lot about why he’s great at what he does and it motivates me to go out there and work harder too.”

It takes a special individual with an incredible work ethic to be this good after playing for so long, and LeBron happens to be just that. He has pushed the limits of what people thought was possible for someone this late into their NBA career, and it is a bit ridiculous that he is able to sustain this level of play.

He is a day older now than Kobe was in his last game in the league, and James is nowhere near finished playing. He recently signed that 2-year, $97.1 million extension with the team, and we look forward to watching the King dominate on the court as he always does.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
