Luka Doncic is headed to the EuroBasket with Slovenia as he looks to help them defend their title from 2017. Luka is coming off another outstanding season in the NBA, as he led the Mavericks to the Western Conference Finals, and he’ll be looking to build on those displays as he links up with the national team.

Slovenia is one of the favorites for the title as well, and Doncic has embraced that tag, as he stated that their goal is to win it all once again.

“Who’s talking about what kind of pressure?” Doncic joked when asked about the Slovenia national team’s goal and explain that he is aiming for the top again: “We are going to Germany to win gold. In every competition where we compete, the goal must always be the first place. We will do everything for it, but we will see if we make it. In 2017, no one took us seriously when we announced our attack on the gold medal, today is different. It’s nice when you see that everyone will make an extra effort against us to win”.

They did shock everybody by winning the last edition, and it is going to be tougher now as they are no longer taking anybody by surprise. They are also coming into this one after making it all the way to the Bronze Medal game at the Tokyo Olympics, and it is safe to say no one is underestimating them now, especially with Luka leading the way.

Just as Luka looks set to dominate here, Giannis Antetokounmpo also gave a stern reminder to the rest of the field as to what they can expect from him, as he dominated Spain by scoring 31 points in 20 minutes. These two are going to wreak havoc, and it is going to be a sight to behold for basketball fans.
