Dwight Howard Says He Belongs To The Hall Of Fame: “It’s Not Up To Me. But I Think One Day I’ll Get The Recognition That I Deserve.”

Dwight Howard had one of the most impressive yet short primes in NBA history. The veteran center was one of the biggest forces in the league during his days with the Orlando Magic, dominating the paint against the competition in a stacked Eastern Conference in the mid and late 2000s.

A lot of people tend to play down what he did during his best years, but it’s pretty clear that Howard was a menace for the rest of the league and deserves much more respect than he’s gotten in recent years. The player is even tired of all the slander he’s received recently and made a case for himself as a Hall of Famer.

During a recent appearance on Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson’s Scoop B Radio, Howard opened up on his chances to become immortal once his career is over. The 2020 NBA champion is pretty confident that he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but admits that it’s not up to him to make that decision.

Dwight Howard believes he is a Hall of Famer: "It’s not up to me. But I think one day I’ll get the recognition that I deserve. Until then I’m going to continue to get better, continue to smile and continue to enjoy life.”

“It’s not up to me. But I think one day I’ll get the recognition that I deserve. Until then I’m going to continue to get better, continue to smile and continue to enjoy life.”

Dwight’s career could have been a lot better if it wasn’t for controversies and a couple of injuries. His defensive prowess was something else. He was a strong force on the less glamorous side of the ball and a huge threat on offense. Unfortunately, his stretch from 2007 through 2012 has gone forgotten by many, but there’s no doubt Howard has made more than enough to be a HOFer and one of the best 75 players in NBA history.
