Ja Morant is already one of the best point guards in the league. He is an amazing playmaker and finisher at the rim. He still has plenty of room to improve, and perhaps he could even be an MVP in the future.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant have recently agreed on a five-year $193 million contract extension, and it could potentially increase to $231 Million, likely due to some incentives in the contract.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has agreed on a five-year, $193M designated rookie maximum extension that could become worth $231M, his agent Jim Tanner of @_TandemSE tells ESPN.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has agreed on a five-year, $193M designated rookie maximum extension that could become worth $231M, his agent Jim Tanner of @_TandemSE tells ESPN.

There is no doubt that this extension is well-deserved. Ja Morant ended up leading the Memphis Grizzlies to the No. 2 seed this season, even though the team ended up losing to the Golden State Warriors in the second round. The team definitely could be better in the future, as Ja Morant and his teammates improve.

The Memphis Grizzlies have one of the brightest futures in the league, and perhaps we’ll see them make the NBA Finals in the future. Ja Morant is an extremely special player and at the center of everything they do. Morant can take them very far, and if the Grizzlies pair him with another star in the future, they could be absolutely special.
