The Golden State Warriors are obviously a top-tier team, and they are one of the best dynasties that the league has seen. They have won 3 championships during Stephen Curry’s tenure, and they could potentially win their 4th at the conclusion of this year’s Finals.

Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson are having success now, but there’s no doubt that the trio isn’t getting any younger. That has led some people to believe that this might be their last chance to win an NBA title.

However, Stephen Curry seems to think otherwise. When asked about the Warriors’ championship window, Stephen Curry claimed that the Warriors still “have a lot left in the tank”. Their team has also been bolstered with younger talented players like Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins in the last few years.

We’ve talked about that. I’ve said it plenty of times, we have a lot left in the tank in terms of what we can do out there on the floor. Bring up the age thing, that’s something to talk about, but it doesn’t really reflect how we approach this playoff journey, our confidence in what we can do going forward.

There’s no doubt that the Golden State Warriors could potentially be a good team for a while, as they have younger players that can support their original trio. Stephen A. Smith has even claimed that Stephen Curry could eventually eclipse star LeBron James in championships, claiming that Curry will have 5 championships to James’ 4.

“What do you think the Warriors are going to be doing, sitting there and taking pictures? I think they’ll make some adjustments as well. I see the Warriors winning 2 of the next 3 titles. I’m thinking about Stephen Curry, I’m thinking about Klay Thompson, I’m thinking about Draymond. But I’m also thinking about Jordan Poole, I’m thinking about Jordan Poole, yes I’m going to bring up James Wiseman… I like their chances… I’m looking at the Golden State Warriors being at least 8 deep. And I see this team… I’m willing to say the Golden State Warriors are winning 2 of the next 3 titles. I believe Steph Curry will eclipse LeBron James and capture 5 championships in his career, while LeBron is still stuck on 4.”

It remains to be seen if the Warriors do in fact remain a contending team in the future. Right now, they need to focus on the present, and that means figuring out a way to defeat the Boston Celtics.

The Finals series is currently tied at 2-2, and as of right now, either team could end up winning. The Warriors must feel confident in their chances with Stephen Curry leading them though, and we’ll see if he can lead them to victory and get the Warriors another championship.
