Something about NBA fans: they never forget. These people always keep receipts and won’t hesitate to bring them up if somebody has done anything bad, or if they’re being hypocrites. We’ve seen plenty of these cases over the years and it’s fair to say they won’t stop happening anytime soon.
After Game 3 of the 2022 NBA Finals, Klay Thompson had some harsh words for Celtics fans after they dropped F-bombs at Draymond Green, showing his unhappiness with how they treated his teammate, who is fighting his personal battle with the Celtics players and supporters.
Thompson blasted them for using a strong language when there were kids in attendance for Game 3, calling them ‘classy’ for their behavior during the match that the C’s dominated from start to finish.
“We’ve played in front of rude fans before. Dropping F-bombs with children in the crowd. Really classy. Good job Boston.”
While some might say this was the right response from Klay, others remembered the things he said and did in his prior NBA Finals. Warriors fans aren’t safe from this type of behavior, either, and somebody recently called Thompson out for his remarks by sharing a video of a fan calling LeBron James a ‘pu**y a** b*tch’ during one of the Cleveland Cavaliers-Golden State Warriors duel in the Finals.

Moreover, the short clip shows Thompson mocking LeBron, saying he had his feeling hurt.
Of course, everybody had something to say about this video, some defending Thompson due to his age at the time, saying that he matured and thinks differently now. Others said that this is all part of the mind games players do to get an advantage over their rivals.

He clearly just matured. Look how young he looks. Stop it with the irony tweets. It makes no sense. People can change and have a different perspective. It’s not rocket science.

Even if this clip wasn’t intentionally taken out of context of the actual Q&A, the premise is still wrong. There’s a HUGE difference between what a single fan shouts at a player in earshot of dozens v. what the majority of an arena chants toward the court. 🙄🥴😉

Difference is draymond is his teammate Lebron isn’t. Not to mention klay wants to win so he will do almost anything to get in his opponent’s head to win. To him nothing personal just business.

theyre related because the og tweet has a quote of klay complaining about people yelling the f word but in the video klay is complaining about people being soft when profanity is used against them. you see the irony?

They’d better figure out how to deal with the rude fans—and the Celts—fast, or they’ll be heading back out to the dock of the bay 1-3.

This is the Finals and we’ll see a lot of fans being passionate about their team. Some people understand this, others don’t, and everybody will do everything to defend their point of view.
