Bobby Portis had a fantastic year with the Milwaukee Bucks, and he has shown that he is one of the most valuable role players in the league. Over the course of the regular season, Bobby Portis put up 14.6 PPG and 9.1 RPG, while shooting 39.3% from beyond the arc.

At the end of this season, Bobby Portis will be a free agent. He will have the ability to choose his next destination. However, it seems as though Bobby Portis will be staying with the Milwaukee Bucks, and NBA insider Marc Stein has recently reported he is expected to sign a multi-year deal with the team.

It makes sense that Bobby Portis would want to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks. He has won a championship with the team, and it’s clear that winning matters to him. At one point, Bobby Portis even admitted that he left the New York Knicks in 2020 to join a winning culture.

“The Knicks turned my option down and they offered me another deal, but I didn’t really know if it was going to be a good situation for me. The year prior, it wasn’t a good situation for me at all. It just wasn’t a culture I was used to. Obviously, Leon (Rose) and (William Wesley) and those guys were going to come in and try to change it around, but I just wanted to go to a winning culture and where I felt like I can fit in with guys.”

The Milwaukee Bucks were unable to repeat this season, falling to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. However, they were without Khris Middleton, and if they’re fully healthy, they are definitely a contender.

Hopefully, we see the Milwaukee Bucks get back to the NBA Finals next year. Giannis Antetokounmpo is widely viewed as the best player in the world, and perhaps he’ll lead the team to a championship next season.
