Skip Bayless Disrespects Giannis Antetokounmpo After Game 2 Loss Against The Celtics: “Giannis Didn’t Exactly Look Like The Best Player On The Planet Tonight… Unless Maybe It Was On Pluto.”

2 Min Read

The Boston Celtics tied their second-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, leaving TD Garden with an even matchup 1-1. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown went off, dominating the Bucks with 29 and 30 points, respectively. They made the adjustments, came to play, and left the court with a W.

Who wasn’t as dominant was Giannis Antetokounmpo, despite scoring 28 points, grabbing 9 rebounds and dishing 7 assists. The Greek Freak had a decent night, but his performance didn’t affect the game as it did on Sunday, where he scored fewer points but helped his team get the win in different ways.

It’s only one bad game for the Bucks, but not everybody saw it that way. Some people took the opportunity to trash Giannis, including Skip Bayless, who instantly took a shot at Giannis and the unofficial title of ‘best player in the world’.

“Uh, somebody tell Shannon that his guy Giannis didn’t exactly look like The Best Player on the Planet tonight … unless maybe it was on Pluto.”

It’s easy to say where these comments come from. Bayless was just trying to get under Shannon Sharpe’s skin with this one, as he always tries to do. His favorite victim is LeBron James, and his favorite player is Kevin Durant, so it’s easy to see why Skip is looking for alternatives to attack players.

Luka Doncic has always received some harsh comments from the controversial analyst, who doesn’t seem to appreciate talent.

This is not the end for Giannis and Milwaukee. They’re going home now and hope to take advantage of that situation. The Greek Freak knows how to improve even in adversity, and that should worry the Celtics. We are yet to see the best of this series and it’ll be interesting to watch how it keeps developing and what Giannis, Tatum, Brown, and more can do to lead their teams to the ECF.
