Tom Brady is the NFL GOAT, his 7 Super Bowl rings are more than any franchise in the history of the sport, and there is no disputing that he is the greatest player to have played in the league. And while he recently retired but then came back in just a few days, many people were questioning what Brady will do when he does eventually retire. Now it seems, the Dallas Mavericks may have an answer for him.
Brady posted a video on social media playing basketball with his son, and that was enough tape for the Mavericks, with the official account commenting on the video jokingly offering Brady a short-term contract (via si.com).
Dallas Mavericks: “10-day?”
Tom Brady: “DMs are open (I think, honestly I don’t know where my DMs are on here).””
Brady is over 6’3, he could be a basketball player if he wanted to be, and his vision to make passes would probably translate to the NBA as well. A potential backcourt of Luka Doncic and Tom Brady might end up being one of the creative duos the NBA has ever seen!
Jokes aside, the Mavericks will be hoping that their young superstar in Doncic can learn something from Brady’s greatness after winning the first playoff series of his career against the Utah Jazz. The Mavericks will now face the best regular-season team in the NBA in the second round, the Phoenix Suns, and they will need a truly elite mentality to get past Chris Paul and Devin Booker.
This wouldn’t be the first NBA connection for Brady either, after all, he did play with the NBA GOAT Michael Jordan in the Bahamas. After he gets this next season in the NFL out of the way, possibly with another miraculous win to add to his legacy, maybe he could do what MJ did after all, and try his hand in another professional sports league.
