Brandon Ingram is one of the best young forwards in the NBA currently. There’s no doubt that he’s a top-tier shot creator and playmaker at the forward position. Over the course of the regular season, Brandon Ingram put up 22.7 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and 5.6 APG.
Most recently, Brandon Ingram delivered an exquisite performance against the Phoenix Suns. Ingram put up 37 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists against the Phoenix Suns, while also leading the New Orleans Pelicans to a win.
After the game, co-star CJ McCollum delivered some praise towards Brandon Ingram, claiming that he was “a monster” in regards to his ability on the basketball court. There is no doubt that Brandon Ingram looked unstoppable, even when facing one of the DPOY candidates for this season in Mikal Bridges.

Brandon Ingram surprisingly wasn’t an All-Star this season, and that is unfortunate, as he clearly deserved to be at that game. However, Brandon Ingram previously stated that the snub “hasn’t been” on his mind, and added that his goal is “winning” with his team in the playoffs. He has led the team past the play-in tournament and into the postseason, and winning this game is a good step towards potentially winning the series against the Phoenix Suns.
“Not making All-Star hasn’t been on my mind a lot. I think I would be forcing the issue (if it was). I have another goal in mind and that’s winning with my team in the playoffs. Maybe make the All-NBA team…My goal is to make the playoffs”
There is no doubt that the Phoenix Suns will likely be the favorite for this series, even with the injury to Devin Booker. They still have a lot of good offensive players, and there are definitely other players on the team that can pick up some of Booker’s scoring load.
With that being said Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans could potentially steal another game. It is clear that Brandon Ingram is changing the basketball culture in New Orleans, and hopefully they are able to continue to consistently make the playoffs.
